It was my thesis project. It took months of research and interviewing patients to create this video as a resource for those in need of heart transplant.The purpose of this video was to create an emotional and informative resource that reaches out to the individuals who are in need of a heart transplant to offer them information that is relatable, comforting, and empowering. It gives advice and tells new patients first-hand from others who have had surgery what happens and what to look forward to. This would replace brochures and other static help aids. I found this cool image of a mixer (rubber) stamp. A friend of mine has done this as well for her Etsy store, using rubber erasers to carve out the design. I've been experimenting with cork, but I think rubber is the best material to use. I like the delicate lines that contrast with the bold structural elements. I intended for these elements to resemble a computer circuit board as well as an abstract image of a downtown city skyline. I worked with him to develop a color palette he liked, based on a scheme he had in mind. I developed an identity for promoting him and his work. Something he specified was that he didn't want to put any images on his card, that way potential clients wouldn't pin him to just one style of photography. I used the light and darker greys to communicate the importance of the qualities of light in photography. The striping of the colors also convey a rhythm like that of the shutter of a camera opening and closing. On the back of the card, the drawing of Jose resembles not only a literal identity I made of him, but also is there to communicate visually the capturing of an image.
